On Thursday night, Ghanaian international Majeed Ashimeru played the full 90 minutes for RSC Anderlecht in their Europa Conference League clash against AZ Alkmaar.

In the quarter-final first-leg tie, the midfielder delivered an impressive performance, as his team aimed to take advantage of playing at home.

RSC Anderlecht put on a great display in the first half and took the lead before halftime through a goal from Michael Murillo.

In the second half, the Belgian giants continued to put pressure on AZ Alkmaar in search of a crucial second goal to extend their lead.

Fortunately, they were able to find the back of the net once more. In the 70th minute, Majeed Ashimeru received a pass from fellow Ghanaian Francis Amuzu and made the most of the opportunity, scoring a fantastic goal.

The midfielder’s effort helped secure an impressive 2-0 victory for RSC Anderlecht over AZ Alkmaar.
