Djoliba AC’s 3-1 win over CO Bamako on Monday secured their 24th Malian Premiere Division title with two games to spare.
After 28 games, the Bamako-based club has won 63 points scoring 42 goals. An impressive 14 goals have been conceded showing how solid Sekou Sek’s team is.
The Reds are seven good points ahead of their perennial city rivals Stade Malien who are set to finish second.
The title won yesterday has officially made AC Djoliba the most successful Malian club in terms of domestic league as it is their 24th league title in total compared to Stade Malien’s 23.
Defending champions AS Real Bamako are set to finish third on the league log after failing to defend their title.
