Manchester City are considering a move for Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman if Brazilian winger Savinho leaves the Etihad this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur are currently leading the chase for Savinho, though uncertainty remains over their ability to complete the transfer. While some Spurs executives are willing to commit significant funds, others within the hierarchy reportedly view the deal as “impossible.”
Should Savinho’s departure materialise, City are expected to join the race for Lookman, who has experienced a turbulent spell at Atalanta. Caught Offside reports that both City and Spurs are monitoring developments closely amid ongoing delays in the Savinho talks.
“Manchester City will enter the Lookman race if Savinho departs, and Tottenham are monitoring developments due to delays in their own Savinho negotiations,” the outlet stated.
Despite already adding Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Aït-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, Marcus Bettinelli, Sverre Nypan, and James Trafford in what has been a busy summer, Pep Guardiola’s side remain active in the market. They continue to be linked with further reinforcements, including Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and Crystal Palace defender Marc Guéhi.
Lookman, meanwhile, reportedly agreed personal terms with Inter Milan earlier this summer, but a transfer collapsed after Atalanta refused to sanction his exit.
