Manchester United have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Leicester City youngster Dennis Gyamfi, according to media reports in the UK.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are eager signing the 18-year-old right-back this summer when his scholarship deal ends.
He would be available on a free transfer, but Leicester will demand a compensation fee.
Arsenal were linked with a move for the Ghanaian-Dutch on Friday while Dutch giants Feyenoord and German sides are also reported to be monitoring the starlet’s situation.
Gyamfi is yet to appear for Brendan Rodgers’ first-team but featured for Steve Beaglehole’s Under-23s in the Premier League 2 in January.
The promising defender has made 27 caps for City’s Under-18s this season.
Gyamfi joined City in 2018 and on a scholarship deal.
