Habib Mohammed has been described as skillful, fast, tall very good on the ball and fearless by new manager of Asante Kotoko SC, Mariano Barreto.
The Black Stars defender was not a regular starter at the club this season after Johnson Smith took over from Maxwell Konadu as interim coach of the Porcupines.
According to the gaffer, his first impression about the former Ashantigold SC defender was that he could play him as the defensive player in front of the back-four.
Mariano Barreto on Habib Mohammed: For me, it is nothing new because my first impression when I saw Habib in the training, I knew he would be a very good number six for my team.
He further went ahead to describe the player as very skillful, very fast, tall and fearless and someone he can face tough problems.
“He is skillful, he’s fast, he’s tall, he’s fearless and can face problems”, Barreto said.
Habib started in Kotoko’s game on Wednesday afternoon against Bechem United FC and produced a stellar performance in the match which ended 4-0 to the Red and Whites.
Habib is expected to play again on Sunday when Kotoko entertain Berekum Chelsea in Obuasi for week 19 Ghana Premier League clash.
