Ghana U17 team The Black Starlets defeated Niger 2-0 in an international friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday afternoon.

A goal each from Sulley Ibrahim and Leveh Gabriel in each half ensued Ghana beat the Young Menas in the first lea\g of the double header friendly.
Sulley Ibrahim shot the Starlets in front in the first half before Leveh Gabriel doubled Ghana’s lead back from break when he capitalised on a defensive error by the Nigeriens defense.
The game forms part of the team’s preparations for the 2017 U17 African youth championship which will be staged in Gabon later next month.
The return leg is slated for Thursday at the same venue.
