Berekum Chelsea suffered a 3-1 defeat to Medeama SC on Thursday afternoon at the Tarkwa T&A Park in match day 20 of the Ghana Premier League.
The match which was originally scheduled for Wednesday could not be played following a heavy downpour in Tarkwa and had to be postponed to Thursday.
A goal each from Paul Aidoo, Bernard Ofori and Bismark Oppong ensured the Yellow and Mauves side clinched all three points in the crucial game.
Paul Aidoo shot the host in front on the 17 minute mark through spot kick but inform Stephen Sarfo leveled things up for the Blues on the 31st minute before recess.
Bernard Ofori on the 68th minute restored the lead for Medeama SC before Bismark Oppong wrapped the game up for the home side eight minute away from stoppage time.
