Nicholas Gyan scored in the 17th minute to hand Ebusua Dwarfs vital three points in the outstanding encounter of week 5.

Medeama suffered a 3-2 defeat to Liberty en route to this fixture but the quest to redeem their image at the Cape Coast Stadium did not materialize as Dwarfs managed to halt any inroad by the visiting team.

Dwarfs until this duel were stripped off by Inter Allies in the week four fixture but star man Nicholas Gyan had his spot right to convert a first half  spot kick to salvage victory for the returnee.
