The assistant coach of the Ghana Black Stars has praised defender Daniel Amartey’s versatility.
Amartey who has starred for the Black Stars as a defender in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nation(AFCON) started the 2016-2017 English Premier League season as Leicester City’s first choice defensive midfielder in the absence of Ngolo Kante who joined Chelsea in a €30million deal.
Amartey has so far done okay for the current EPL champions and Maxwell thinks that its good for the Black Stars to have a player of such versatility.
“He has done well and its good for us to have him. Its good that we have a player who can play in defense and also midfield”. Maxwell Konadu disclosed to Asempa FM
Amartey is expected to be named in the Black Stars squad for the World Cup qualification against the Cranes of Uganda next week.
The Black Stars host Uganda at the Tamale sports stadium.
