Ghanaian international Daniel Nii Adjei says Ghana head coach Avram Grant might have denied him invitation to the Black Stars team simply because he’s not good enough to merit a position in his current team.
The inform midfield dynamo guided TP Mazembe to win the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday after beating Algerian side MO Bejaia 5-2 on aggregate.
According to him, though he has continuously been snubbed by the technical handlers of the Black Stars team, his focus remains working hard at club level.

The former Asante Kotoko midfielder speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Ultimate FM said’’ I don’t really feel anything about it because e is my career and if I am playing well and they don’t call me all that I need to do is to keep working hard improve on myself and then try everything possible to get a place in my team since that is where I get my monthly salary so if they call me fine but if they don’t call me I have to still work hard maybe I am not good enough for the Coach for him to call me so I just relax and make sure I get a place in my team so that anytime I can get a place in my team so that my career too will go on for me’’.
He added’’ The truth is I have not been called but maybe to them I am not good enough or doesn’t fit in their plans and so I have to keep working hard and get more playing time, as for the Black Stars if they call me is a plus, is a bonus but I won’t be praying that they should call me at all course. The most important thing is that I have to do well do anything and everyday to ensure me team wins trophies always.
Nii Adjei further disclosed ‘’Maybe if I am from Zambia I will get a call up, if I am from Congo I will get a call up but I am not from there I am from Ghana so is different and I can’t compare myself to them though we are all doing well, sometimes they wonder why but is part of life but what matters most now is working assiduously to be able to take care of my family, my wife and my kids and the likes”.
Adjei since joining the Congolese champions in 2013 from Asante Kotoko has won both the CAF champions league, the CAF Confederations Cup as well as the CAF Super.
