The second half had to be delayed following a heavy downpour prior to the end of the first half.
Back from recess, Kotoko played better with no pressure being mounted on them by the host but failed to create any decent chance worth entering the net to give them the needed goal.
Medeama then gathered momentum to pile incessant pressure on Kotoko but struggled to score until referee Nathan Anafo awarded them a penalty following a foul on striker Kwame Boateng in the 88th minute.
The striker then converted the penalty excellently to claim victory for the miners against a club he struggled to command starting role.
Goal keeper Felix Annan however, was adjudged as NASCO Man of the Match having won it in the last game against Inter Allies where Kotoko won by a goal to nothing.
