Ibrahim Tanko, head coach of Medeama SC, has called an emergency meeting with his players following a 2–1 home defeat to Hohoe United in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The loss marks Medeama’s second defeat in their last five league matches, extending a troubling winless run. Despite their struggles, the Mauve and Yellow remain at the top of the table with 46 points, but Tanko is concerned about the players’ attitude.
“We have to put it in our back because we still have nine games to play. I think I have to meet with the players and then see the way forward,” Tanko told journalists after the match.
“I’m not happy with some of their attitude. We have to look at our game and talk about it and concentrate on the next game.”
Medeama SC now face mounting pressure as they prepare to host Dreams FC in Week 26 on March 22, where a response will be expected to maintain their grip on the top spot.
