Bibiani Gold Stars head coach Michael Osei says his team’s draw at Medeama on Tuesday is a big morale booster for the Premier League newcomers ahead of the Asante Kotoko clash on Friday.
Gold Stars defeated Berekum Chelsea 1-0 on opening day of the season and went ahead to pick a point against Medeama at the Akoon Park and Osei – a former Kotoko player and coach – believes his players are well motivated for the Friday showdown.
“To go to Medeama and run away with a point is not easy and so for us this is a good morale booster for the Kotoko game.” he told Ashh FM.
“The Medeama game was supposed to have been played on Sunday and that would have given us enough time to rest but we are okay with that. We knew about two or three days that the Medeama game is moved to Tuesday and so we will be ready for Kotoko” Michael Osei added.
