Ghanaian forward Michael Folivi set up Jevani Brown for the opener as Colchester United defeated Leyton Orient by two goals to one in the English League 2 on Saturday.
Folivi who joined Colchester from Wimbledon this summer was one of the outstanding players on the day as the “U’s” carried the day.
The English-born Ghanaian delivered a tailor-measured pass to Brown who coolly slotted the ball past keeper Lawrence Vigouroux for the opener in the 10th minute.
Vigorouroux denied Folivi a personal goal in the 14th minute as he dived full length to save his strike which was heading into the net.
Brown made it 2-0 for Colchester in the 18th minute before Sam Ling reduced the deficit in the 88th minute.
