Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac has offered an explanation for his second substitution in Saturday’s 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers matchday three win over Zimbabwe.
The Stars won the game with goals from Kudus Mohammed in the 5th minute, Thomas Partey in the 66th and Andre Ayew in the 87th. Zimbabwe scored a consolation goal through Knowledge Musona in the 49th minute.
“We faced some difficulties in the second half because it was so difficult to defend the second balls that’s why I introduced Baba Iddrisu to solidify the defense”, coach Milo Rajevac said in his post-match conference.
The Black Stars will travel to play the same opponent on Tuesday in Zimbabwe.
After 3 games, Ghana now sits second with six points to South Africa who lead the group with a point more.
