Mohammed Fuseini has officially opened his goal account for the Black Stars, netting his debut strike during Ghana’s win over Trinidad & Tobago in the 2025 Unity Cup held in the United Kingdom.
The 23-year-old forward, who received his first senior national team call-up for the tournament, was rewarded with a starting role in Saturday’s fixture after coming off the bench in the semi-final clash against Nigeria.
Fuseini made the most of his opportunity, delivering a lively performance and scoring in the 42nd minute to put Ghana ahead. His goal, coming at the GTECH Community Stadium, capped an energetic first-half showing that highlighted his pace and attacking instincts.
Now off the mark for the national team, Fuseini will be aiming to solidify his place in the squad as Ghana continues to rebuild under coach Otto Addo.
At club level, the attacker enjoyed a standout season with Union Saint-Gilloise, playing a key role in their historic campaign. He helped the club secure the Belgian Jupiler Pro League title—its first in decades—after joining the team last summer.
Over the course of the season, Fuseini scored 11 goals and provided three assists in 44 appearances across all competitions.
