Ghanaian central defender Mohammed Salisu is likely to join Southampton after reiterating his interest in playing in the Premiership.
Salisu was on the verge of a move to French Ligue 1 side 1 after they triggered his 12 million Euros buy-out clause but he made his agent and Real Valladolid to stop the negotiations as he preferred the English League.

His agent, Juan Mata Snr, will meet officials of Southampton in the coming days as official talks begin for the possible transfer this summer.
Salisu, 21 has made 29 La Liga appearances this season for Real Valladolid scoring one goal and providing one assist.
