Ghana international, Mohammed Salisu was named Southampton’s ‘Player of the Match’ in their game against Leeds United.
Southampton beat Leeds by a goal to nil courtesy Armando Broja’s strike in the 53rd minute, with the Chelsea loanee latching unto a pass from from Nathan Redmond to register his first goal for the Saints.
Salisu played full throttle of the game as his side also managed a clean sheet and moved into the 15th position on the Premier League table.
The 22-year-old managed two clearances while also making three interceptions and three tackles.
To top it all, the centre-back was voted the player of the month by the Southampton fans after the encounter.
