German Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach are set to hand highly-rated Ghanaian teen defender Mordecai Boahene Zuhs a new contract.
According to Graphic Sports, the young centre-back’s two-year deal with “Die Fohlen” is expected to expire this summer and that talks are well advanced for a fresh deal.
Boahene, 17, was signed by Monchengladbach from Aachen in 2018 and has progressed to the under-19 side, making nine appearances and scoring one goal so far.
The young defender has already been likened to German legend Franz Beckenbauer due to his style of play and has been tipped for success.
Born to Ghanaian parents in Hamburg, the youngster is eligible to feature for both countries at international level.
Boahene can also play as a left-back aside his natural central defence role,
