Zamalek President Mortada mansour spoke to ON Sport TV about Zamalek’s current situation in the Egyptian Premier League, claiming that the team will face Tala’a El-Gaish and the match against Misr El-Maqassa will be replayed.
The Egyptian Football Association‘s Competitions Committee has not made a final decision, but is expected to to deduct points from Zamalek after the team failed to show up to the scheduled league match against Misr El-Maqassa on Sunday.
Mansour had requested to postpone the match before threatening not to show up to the game when his request was denied. He later claimed that EFA President Hany Abou-Rida assured him of the postponement.
In his most recent public announcement, Mortada Mansour said, “On my behalf, our match against Misr El-Maqassa will be replayed.”
On the other hand, Mansour assured that Zamalek’s postponed match from the second fixture against Tala’a El-Gaish will be played as previously announced.
“Zamalek will play the encounter against Tala’a El-Gaish on Wednesday normally,” he confirmed.
The EFA’s Competitions Committee has not yet made a decision regarding the situation.
