In an interview with Yoggy Doggy on Aben 103.3 FM in Ejisu, Mr Jonathan Abbey Pobi commented on the rumours that Chris Houghton might be sacked if he fails to deliver against Madagascar and Comoros.

He said”, Why should we sack him”? there is no sensible human being in the country to appoint any coach. “he continued.

“Kwasi Appiah, Ck Akunnor, Milovan Rajevic and  Otto Addo have all been sacked under Kurt Okraku’s administration. We have paid a huge sum of money to them as compensation. Can’t we learn? Mr. Pobi said.

“We forget things so easily, that’s why we are in this mess”,  continued Mr Pobi.

“What has happened to our football? Have we reached the stage where we have to panic when we have a game against Madagascar and Comoros? I can even coach the Black Stars and beat Madagascar and Comoros”, said Mr Pobi, the veteran football administrator.

“They have collapsed Ghana football”,  revealed Mr Pobi.

“Black Stars can bring a grade-A coach but still won’t succeed because those in charge are not serious.

“The team is for all of us but a few people are taking advantage of it and embezzling money from it. They are cheating us”.

“They couldn’t tell us the amount they got from the USA and Mexico games”, he added.

“The players are good. Why don’t they play like how they play for their clubs”?

On the World Cup prize money, he said, “After the World Cup,  Senegal has accounted for the World Cup money. Even P.E. teachers have gotten their share.
Ghana hasn’t been able to render their account”.

“Even a cameraman can get 50,000 dollars as an appearance fee. How much will the leaders get”? Mr Pobi revealed.

“Our problem is beyond coaching. Only senseless people will fail to render an account”.

On the issue of Ghana’s sports venues, he said “Many are mad, but few are naked in this country”. Senegal is renovating one of the stadiums with some of the World Cup money. What are we doing with ours?

What are we not doing better when asked by Yoggy Doggy, “No need to advise anyone in this country. Christians and Muslims must change their attitude so that we can develop the nation together”, he revealed.
