Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has stressed that his team cannot afford any slip-ups in their upcoming MTN FA Cup Round of 16 encounter against Aduana FC.
Zito’s remarks come on the back of a 3–1 defeat to Heart of Lions last Saturday at the Kpando Sports Stadium during Matchday 21 of the Ghana Premier League, a result that has increased the pressure on the Porcupine Warriors.
The former Black Satellites coach reiterated his ambition to secure a season double, targeting both the league title and the FA Cup, emphasizing that the team must approach the Aduana tie with full focus and intensity.
“Definitely, we have to win that game against Aduana FC. We don’t have any excuse because my main objective is to win the league or the FA Cup—or even the double. So definitely, I have to work hard because we cannot afford to lose to Aduana,” Zito said.
Asante Kotoko will host their regional rivals at Baba Yara Stadium this weekend in a fixture expected to be highly competitive, with fans eagerly anticipating a strong response from the defending league champions.
