Black Maidens striker Mukarama Abdulai is elated following her woman of the match award against Uruguay.
The Black Maidens’s skipper scored a hat-trick as Ghana thumped the South American side by five goals to nothing in the ongoing FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup Tuesday night.
Mukarama, says she is content with her award adding that their target is to clinch the ultimate.
“I am very very excited for this opportunity and winning the best player in the first match,” she stated after the game.
“Our aim at this world cup was to win our first match and to look forward to our other games. So, I am very very happy and excited,”
The Northern Ladies striker who netted 12 goals during the qualifying campaign became the first Ghanaian female player to score a hat-tick in a single game at a FIFA World Cup.
