Chief Executive Officer of Nations FC, Kwame Twumasi Danquah, has expressed the club’s ambition to rise to the top of Ghanaian football, setting their sights on reaching the stature of giants Asante Kotoko.
Since their emergence, Nations FC have made remarkable strides, earning promotion to the Ghana Premier League after just one season in the Division One League. Currently in their second top-flight campaign, they remain firmly in the title race, sitting just a few points off the top spot.
After 19 matches this season, The Eagles occupy fifth place on the league table with 32 points, having secured nine wins, five draws, and five defeats.
Speaking in an interview with Eugene Kwame Anane on Kumasi-based Opemsuo Radio, Twumasi Danquah reaffirmed the club’s long-term vision, emphasizing their desire to emulate their regional rivals, Asante Kotoko.
“We want to reach the level of Kotoko. In our first season in Division One, we earned promotion to the Premier League, and now we are aiming to win the league and secure a place in the CAF Champions League,” he said.
With the Ghana Premier League currently on a temporary break, Nations FC remain in camp, fine-tuning their preparations for the league’s resumption as they continue their pursuit of domestic and continental success.
