Ismael Antwi scored a wonderful goal in the second half to give Nations FC a 1-0 win over Heart of Lions in the opening match of the Division One League Super Cup.
The match which pitted the two top teams from Zone Two and Three attracted loads of fans to the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports complex on Friday.
Nations FC were the better side in the first half but the Super Cup debutants failed to take their chances as the first half ended goalless.
Ismael Antwi, a second half substitute found himself on the edge of the box before smashing home the winner.
Prince Acquah, Razak Sampson and Burkina Faso forward Sare Ibrahim made their debut for Nations FC.
The Abrankese side are now top of Group A with 3 points going into their Second game against Techiman Eleven Wonders on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
