Ashanti Gold SC striker, Shafiu Mumuni, is confident of victory against Karela United FC in the Normalisation Committee Special Competition semifinal clash on Sunday.
The Miners will welcome the Anyinase-based club to the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium as the two sides battle for a final slot in the Premier League Zone B epic semifinal clash
Though the dreaded striker admits Karela United will give the Miners a very good game, he however believes his side will surely book qualification to the grand finale of the competition.
“I’m very impressed with our training so far, and I believe it’ll grant us victory on Sunday. I’m always motivated by challenges. With our supporters behind us, we’ll qualify for the finals, ”Mumuni said.
Commenting further on the game, Ashanti Gold SC head coach Kjetil Zachariassen said “It’s a difficult match for us, and a big opponent again: strong, possession based. But we always want to dictate the game for our opponents. They would’ve to read us and follow us,”
The other semifinal clash will be between Accra Hearts of Oak and arch rivals Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports stadium on Sunday.
The winner of the Normalisation Committee Special Competition tier one will represent Ghana at the 2019/2020 Caf Champions League.
