Agogo, a town in the Asante Akim North district is to benefit from a state-of-the art Astro Turf to be built by Wembley Constructions.
As part of the one constituency one AstroTurf, Ghana Gas has cut a sod for a new sports complex to replace the old Agogo Park. The project is to provide an avenue to unearth talent in the community and help actualize the dream of young footballers.
Ghana Gas has been at the Centre of sports and youth development as they also helped to construct the famous Crossby Awuah Memorial park which currently serves as the home grounds of Karela FC.
Speaking at the Sod cutting of the ceremony, the chief of the town Nana Akuoko Sarpong was very excited about the project as he believed it would help the community greatly “We are excited about the one constituency Astro Turf project knowing that the old Agogo park would be transformed into a sport complex that would help unearth talents in the area and the country at large”.
The project is expected to be completed in December
