The newly appointed head coach of Asante Kotoko will be pruning his squad size to at most 24 players, sportsworldghana.com can state.
The Croatian trainer has told management of the club he is ready to work with a maximum of 24 players for the upcoming season.
On Tuesday, when he was introduced to the playing body at the Adako Jachie training center, the former AFC Leopard coach hinted the squad size of the team is too large and there will be a need to cut it down.
Zdravco Lugarasuric was in a meeting with assistant coach Michael Osei on Wednesday and we understand they discussed the possible players to be offloaded.
With less than one month to the start of the Ghana Premier League, management of the club says they will work out to ensure the yet to be released players find clubs to play for.
The current Kotoko squad size exceeds thirty players, around 28 players have been actively present during trainings.
