English Premier League side Newcastle United, are the latest club to express interest in the services of Belgium-born sensation of Ghanaian descent Jeremy Doku.
Doku, 18, has emerged on the radar of the St. James Park side following his explosive display in the Belgian top-flight league with RSC Anderlecht.
Spanish tabloid TodoFichajes, reports that the Saudi Arabia investors who are almost set to takeover Newcastle United, have penciled down Doku’s name as a prime Summer target.
The highly-talented forward who is rated as one of the best young players currently in Belgium with RSC Anderlecht, has also appeared on the radar of Broussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Galatasaray and Olympique Marseille.
Doku’s father recently in an interviews disclosed that his son previously turned down a move to Liverpool to further his career in Belgium.
He is eligible to represent Ghana at any level despite playing for the Belgium U15, U16, U17 and U21.
Black Stars head coach, Charles Kwablan Akonnor met the 17-year-old including Francis Amuzu and Derrick Luckassen all at Anderlecht during his tour in Europe to convince them play for the Black Stars.
