Officials of Newcastle United will in the coming days sit down to talk about the future of Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu.
The 28-year-old forward has just a year left on his current contract and he will know in the coming days if it will be extended or he will find new employers.
Atsu has virtually been a fringed player in the fold of the Magpies playing cameo roles and has not featured or been on the bench since the EPL resumed after lockdown.
SPORTSworldGhana.com can confirm that with the Upon-Tyne clubs set for a new take over, Atsu’s future at St. James’ Park looks very bleak and he is one of the players they will cash in on this window.
So far, no club have tended in an official bid yet but West Bromich Albion could be a likely destination should they secure EPL qualification.
Atsu joined Newcastle on a permanent deal from Chelsea on July 1, 2017 after an initial loan deal and has gone on to make 79 appearances scoring three goals and providinseven assists.
