Newcastle United forward Christian Atsu wants his side to embarrass uninspiring Manchester United by beating them in this weekend’s League fixture.
The Magpies will play as visitors struggling Jose Mourinho’s side on Saturday and the Ghanaian international wants his side to deepen the Red Devils woes.
Manchester United have been off and on this season after recording just three wins in their last seven matches.
“We know it will be a tough game for both teams,” Atsu told the Chronicle.
“They are struggling too and so are we.
“We have to stick together. We can’t lose our heads and the big teams don’t get beaten three or four times in a row.
“We have to change things ourselves. This is the moment we need everybody to get behind the team. We think the fans deserve better.
“We’re working hard and trying to change everything. For me, one win will change the atmosphere around the club.”
Atsu who has been named in Ghana’s squad to face Sierra Leone next week in Kumasi is likely to be included in the Newcastle United team for the game.
