Former Germany head coach Joachim Löw has dismissed reports linking him with the Black Stars job, insisting he has had no contact with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following the departure of Otto Addo.
Speculation had been rife that the 2014 World Cup-winning manager was in discussions to take charge of Ghana ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but Löw has firmly denied those claims.
“No one officially spoke to me about Ghana,” he told Sky Sports, shutting down rumours of ongoing negotiations.
Despite distancing himself from the reports, the experienced German tactician made it clear he remains open to a return to management under the right conditions.
“Basically, I said that I don’t want to say goodbye to retirement now. Especially when there is once again an interesting offer and a good perspective,” Löw explained.
“As far as my experience is concerned, that would also be the best for me,” he added, hinting at a willingness to consider future opportunities.
The Black Stars coaching position became vacant after Otto Addo was dismissed following Ghana’s 2-1 defeat to Germany in Stuttgart, intensifying the search for a new head coach ahead of the World Cup.
