Congress of the Ghana Football Association has approved the work programme and budget for the 2020/21 financial year but the start dates of the new football season remain unknown for the Ghana Premier League, the Division One league and the national Women football league.
The government of Ghana has still not given the green light for football clubs to begin group training ahead of the new season following the cancellation of the 2019/20 edition due to the Covid-19.
Normally the start dates for the GFA competitions are announced at the congress of the association where details of the upcoming football season are known but on Tuesday that was not the case due to government restrictions as the leaders of the association could not give any information about that.
The GFA will therefore continue to wait for government directives and permissions as the football fraternity eager for the most popular sport in the country to resume.
