New Patriotic Party’s Titus Glover has become the latest top political official to back Black Stars head coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor.
The gaffer has been under immense pressure following Ghana’s performance against Ethiopia and South Africa in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Some have even called for Akonnor to be sacked in the coming weeks with some online portals reporting that he is set to face the exit on Friday.
However, former Member of Parliament for Tema west, Titus Glover has jumped into the defense of the former Black Stars international.
“I have heard that the GFA will hold a meeting tomorrow (today) and they want to sack CK Akonnor. We are daring them,” he fumed on Oman FM.
“Kurt, we are daring you! We are daring him. The future of the Black Stars is linked to the NPP. We want the Black Stars to progress.
“Those of you imposing players on him (CK Akonnor), those who are not allowing time and space to do his work should stop immediately.”
