King Faisal head coach Nurudeen Amadu admitted his team should have equalized against Legon Cities but was impressed by the performance of his team despite the defeat.
Cities won Monday’s game by 1-0 at the El Wak stadium thanks to a second half effort by Jonah Attuquaye who slotted home the opener and only goal of the game on the service of Hans Kwoffie.
“Nothing really went wrong. There was no problem. My players played the way I instructed them to play even though the pitch was not good.” Nuru Amadu said after the game.
“They did well tactically. In football you make one mistake and you are punished for it and I think we should have gotten the equalizer but we threw it away like against Hearts of Oak ” he added.
King Faisal end the first round of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League on the 5th position on the standings after 17 games on 26 points while Legon Cities are 12th with 21 points.
