Former Asante Kotoko defender Joe Hendricks holds a dissenting view with the Ghana Football Association president Kwasi Nyantakyi’s Description of the Ghana League as competitive.
Joe in reaction to the President’s comment about the Ghana premier league completely disagreed the assertion by the Ghana football chief.
“If he had followed the game during our time and he can today say the league is competitive I can challenge him and say no, that era is far better than this.
Perhaps he (Nyantakyi) during our time, he didn’t watch us. Because during our time we were playing the ABC premier league where ABC was the main sponsor, the stadia was always full to the capacity” Hendricks said on Kumasi based Kessben FM.
“Even when Kotoko were playing against Power FC, Gapoha and the likes, the attendance was massive.
If he had followed then, he will realize Ghana football has really retrogressed. And maybe that’s all he’s seen that’s why he’s saying such”. He added.
