Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko have appointed Maxwell Konadu as their new substantive head coach.
The former Black Stars deputy coach replaces Kjetil Zachariassen who was sacked for poor performance.
The Porcupine Warriors’ legend signed a two-year renewable contract in Kumasi on Monday.
The club has swiftly announced a new coach to manage the club following the sacking of the Norwegian gaffer last month.
Konadu, has been tasked to win the domestic league and qualify the team to the CAF Champions League.
Kotoko turned their sights on their former gaffer to return the club to its lost glory.
Konadu, 48, guided the team to win their 22nd Premier League title during the 2011/2012 season before vacating his post to work with the Black Stars.
