Bayer 04 Leverkusen have officially announced the signing of exciting 19-year-old winger Farid Alfa-Ruprecht from Manchester City’s U21 team. The German-Ghanaian talent joins the Bundesliga champions on a five-year deal that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2030.
Born in Hamburg, Germany, Farid began his football journey at Hamburger SV’s youth academy, where he developed his skills before making a move to Manchester City’s youth setup three years ago. During his time in England, he impressed with his pace, dribbling, and attacking flair.
The young winger is regarded as a player with high potential, and Leverkusen see him as a key part of their long-term project. His dual heritage also makes him a player of interest to both Germany and Ghana at youth international level.
Farid Alfa-Ruprecht now becomes the latest youngster to join Erik ten Hag’s side, as Leverkusen continue to build a squad filled with promising talent and attacking depth for both domestic and European competitions.
