Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie, has been relieved off his duties the FA has announced.
This decision was taken at an Executive Committee meeting of the Association held in Accra on Tuesday February 24.

There have been a bad relationship between George Afriyie and his boss Nyantakyi since he declared his intentions to contest for the 2019 FA Presidency during his 50th birthday anniversary.
Though the FA chief, has said on three separate interviews that he won’t contest for the FA seat again, some allied of his administration are pushing him to rescind his decision of not contesting for the seat again but Ghanaian who have attributed the increasingly decline of the domestic football want him to exit his position as leader of the nation’s football governing body.
His vice, George Afriyie, Fred Pappoe, and Nana Yaw Amponsah have so far declared their intentions to contest for the 2019 Ghana Football Association Presidency.
