German-born attacker of Ghanaian descent, Davis Asante, has joined Regionalliga West side SV Rodinghausen on loan from 3. Liga club SSV Jahn Regensburg until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old winger, a product of Werder Bremen’s youth system, struggled for playing time at Regensburg and will now look to gain minutes in Germany’s fourth tier.
SV Rodinghausen confirmed the deal in an official statement on Friday 23rd January, 2026.
“SV Rodinghausen have signed Davis Asante on loan from Jahn Regensburg until the end of the season. The 22-year-old is a versatile attacking player and has made seven appearances in the 3. Liga this season. Asante joined Regensburg from Werder Bremen in the summer, where he has a contract until 2027.
“The former youth international will wear the number 23 jersey for Rödinghausen. SV Rödinghausen thanks Jahn Regensburg for the good and productive talks,” the club said.
Speaking on Davis Asante’s arrival, Rodinghausen head coach Lars Fleischer praised the signing, speaking highly of his qualities.
“We are very happy to have more options for our attack with Davis. He can be used both on the wings and as a striker and has great pace as well as strong one-on-one skills,” the coach said.
Despite representing Germany at the U16 level, Asante remains eligible to play for Ghana’s Black Stars.
