The 2021/22 National Division One League season will start on 12 November 2021, the Ghana FA has announced.
The new date has been approved by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association according to the release by the FA.
Forty-eight clubs will compete in the 2021-22 for promotion to the top-flight in their respective zones when the season commences.
Newly demoted teams like Liberty Professionals, Inter Allies and Ebusua Dwarfs will compete in 2021/22 Division One League after being relegated from the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
Berekum Arsenal, Bofoakwa Tano and Steadfast FC will be the main contenders for promotion after a stellar performances in the Zone One last season.
Skyy FC in Zone Two will fancy their chances after coming close to promotion but will face a tough task after Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs suffered relegation at the eleventh hour.
Liberty Professionals must be at their maximum best to see off competition from Tema Youth FC to bounce back to the Ghana Premier League.
The registration window for the new season opened on Monday 9 August, 2021 and will be closed on Sunday 9 October 2021.
