Italian serie B newcomers AC Perugia have confirmed the signing of ltalian-born Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Gyabuaa on a one-year loan deal from Serie A club Atalanta BC.
The 19-year-old who made his debut for the Atalanta has season, has now been sent to the lower-tier outfit to continue his development for the 2021/22 campaign.
A statement from the Stadio Renato Curi side on the capturing of the promising enforcer reads:
“Perugia, 16 July 2021 – AC Perugia Calcio announces that it has reached an agreement with Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio for the temporary acquisition, until the end of the season, of the football player Emmanuel Gyabuaa.”
“The Italian midfielder, born in 2001, grew up in the Atalanta youth sector until his Serie A debut last December 13 against Fiorentina.
“He also participated in the Uefa Youth League with 6 appearances and 1 goal. With the Primavera orobica 82 appearances and 9 goals.

Following his outstanding performances in the Primavera 1 championship with Atalanta youth side, first team manager Gian Piero Gasperini gave the Ghanaian youngster his debut appearance in the Serie A against Fiorentina last season.
He joined Atalanta B.C at the age of 14 in 2015 having failed to make the grade at Parma.
Born in Parma to Ghanaian parents, Gyabuaa has represented Italy at U15, U16, U17, U18 ,U19 & U20 youth teams.
He’s, however, eligible to play for Ghana in furture.
