Ghanaian winger Ibrahim Osman has sealed a season-long loan move to French Ligue 1 outfit AJ Auxerre from Brighton & Hove Albion, with the French club holding an option to make the deal permanent for €16 million.
The 20-year-old will be hoping to rediscover his form and make a strong impression at Auxerre after a challenging spell in recent seasons. Osman signed a long-term deal with Brighton in February 2024 following a breakthrough period at FC Nordsjælland in Denmark.
Last season, he was loaned to Feyenoord in the Netherlands, where he made 32 appearances, scoring four goals and registering three assists. Despite moments of promise, the Dutch side opted not to activate the purchase clause in his contract, resulting in his return to Brighton.
Auxerre view Osman as a valuable attacking asset, with his pace, flair, and creativity expected to add depth and energy to their frontline.
Brighton, meanwhile, will keep a close eye on his progress in Ligue 1, hopeful that consistent minutes in a top-flight league will further aid his development and boost his long-term potential.
