Premier League side Legon Cities FC have announced the signing of Asokwa Deportivo SC top scorer Asamoah Boateng Afriyie ahead of the 2021-22 season.
The former Asokwa Deportivo SC striker penned a one-year contract subject to renewal with the Royals after impressing in the 2020-21 Ghana Division One League in Zone Two.
The 23-year-old predator finisher scored 9 goals in 18 matches for the Allah is Great side in the Division One League and also got two goals in the MTN FA Cup Competition.
He’s the second player to join the club since the change of ownership and name from Wa All Stars to Legon Cities FC.
Former Deportivo captain David Cudjoe played for Legon Cities FC last season but was unfortunately injured and Asamoah Boateng becomes the second player to join the Royals.
