Portuguese giants FC Porto have officially announced the signing of Ghanaian teenager Benicio Baker-Boaitey after the winger turned down a professional contract at West Ham United.
SPORTS WORLD GHANA exclusively last week that the youngster was almost done with his move to Porto, joining their Under 19 side.
The Dragons have swiftly signed the promising teen forward who they believe would make a good impact at the club in future.
The 16-year-old winger before moving to Porto, had been a subject of interest across Europe since May with the likes of Bayern Munich, Paris St Germain, Benfica, and other top teams showing interest in him after it came to light that the “Hammers” were finding it difficult to renew his contract.
Baker-Boaitey will now join the U19 team of the Portuguese champions to aid his development.
