President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has nominated Evans Opoku Bobie, a member of parliament for Asunafo North Constituency in the Ahafo region to serve as deputy Minister for Youth and Sports as exclusively published by SportsworldGhana.com last week.
Mr. Opoku Bobie served in Nana Addo’s first administration as Deputy Brong Ahafo Regional Minister and subsequently became the substantive Brong Ahafo Minister.
With the substantial demand for the creation of new regions through a referendum in the year 2018, president Akufo-Addo appointed him again to take care of the three regions. Namely, Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions. After taking good care of the three regions, the president appointed him again as the first-ever Ahafo Regional Minister.
Mr. Opoku Bobie has been promoted by the president Akufo- Addo from regional to the deputy minister for Youth and Sports when approved by the vetting committee of Parliament. His passion for sports is so enormous.
