Five home-based players have been named in the provisional Ghana squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and Great Olympics attacker Maxwell Abbey Quaye made the cut.
Abbey has scored 7 goals after 9 matches this season and he is joined on the list by four other attackers.
Head coach Milovan Rajevac announced a 30-man squad on Tuesday at the GFA’s headquarters in Accra.
The other Ghana Premier League players in the Ghana list are Dreams FC duo Fatawu Issahaku and Philemon Baffour, Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah and Ghana Premier League top scorer of Real Tamale United David Abagna Sandan.
