Asante Kotoko striker William Opoku-Mensah says coach Maxwell Konadu inspired him to sign for the Porcupine Warriors.
The former Karela United forward joined the Porcupines on a year deal with after his return to Ghana from USL side Swope Park Rangers.
Opoku’s decision to sign for Kotoko according to him was inspired by the personal touch from head coach Maxwell Konadu who contacted him to tell him about how he would fell at the Baba Yara Stadium.
“I chose Kotoko because of Coach Maxwell Konadu, he’s a fantastic person, he’s a good person to work with. I think I have realized that dream to play for Asante Kotoko. It won’t end there and I’m not satisfied; I will push up and play to the topmost level outside,” he told Sekondi-based Kyzz FM.
“It’s normal, I’m not offended when people criticize my performance, when I feel offended, it’ll affect my psyche so when I hear those things, I take it as one of those things”
