Otto Addo has declared that he prefers bold and competitive players in the Black Stars team, making it clear that he values strong personalities who are not afraid to speak up.
The Black Stars head coach stated, “I like players who are going to challenge and question me, or who are angry when they lose.”
According to him, such behaviour shows passion and a strong winning mentality. He believes players who question decisions in a respectful manner and express frustration after defeat demonstrate that they truly care about the team’s progress.
Otto Addo explained that he does not want players who are too quiet or comfortable. In his view, a healthy team environment allows room for discussion, accountability, and the desire to constantly improve. He stressed that anger after losing is not a bad thing, but rather a sign of ambition and commitment.
The coach’s remarks highlight his intention to build a determined and fearless Black Stars squad — one that refuses to accept defeat lightly and is always ready to push harder.
As the team continues its preparations for upcoming competitions, Otto Addo’s message sends a clear signal that only players with strong character and fighting spirit will thrive under his leadership.
