Former Ghanaian international Patrick Nyarko is pleased after being named as the deputy coach of the u19 side of Chicago Fire.
Nyarko spent seven successful years at Chicago Fire as a player and he is now glad to be back as he begins his coaching career
“I’m very excited to be back in Chicago where I spent so many years during my playing career,” Nyarko stated after his appointment on night.
“It’s impressive to see how the Chicago Fire Academy has grown over the years and I am looking forward to learning from all the coaches and staff at the Club. After spending a decade as a player in MLS, hopefully I can bring that experience to the players as they learn about what it takes to make it as professionals, both on and off the field.” He added
Nyarko was born in the Ghanaian city of Kumasi and played for Kaaseman (Asokwa Deportivo) before moving to USA in 2005 to attend college.
